Belmont Press was established in 1952 by Herbert Thomas, and even at the beginning, we printed a variety of different items, such as grocery bags, lottery tickets, business directories and a local news magazine. Herbert was an entrepreneur and innovator, always looking for new opportunities.
Herbert had four sons, who have all worked in the family firm, and one of them, Trevor Thomas became Managing Director in 1975. He is now supported by a management team, including his nephew, Owen, who is Commercial Director, and his daughter Nicola, who is Purchasing Manager.
In 1960, we proudly took delivery of our first brand new Heidelberg Cylinder Press and we’ve never looked back. Our love and fascination of new machinery makes us early adopters of new technology. This has helped us to operate efficiently and cost-effectively, while delivering the best possible results for our clients. We’re also keen to complete as many processes as we can in-house, so they are monitored and controlled by our robust quality management system.
As well as using the latest printing and finishing technology, we embrace online solutions, giving you flexibility, control and 24/7 access to your print jobs.
Some of our staff have been at Belmont Press for many years, often bringing other family members on board, so we retain the friendly atmosphere of a family business. It’s underpinned by a strong commitment to professionalism. We work as a team and take pride in delivering excellent service and high-quality printed materials in any format.
We now operate 24 hours a day and employ around 150 staff. We look after clients nationwide, producing over 300 million items a year, and our team of account managers provides support and advice throughout your project.
