Cinch case study

Cinch is a nationwide, online car retailer, making it easy for buyers to purchase cars via their website and delivered directly to their clients front door. They are also one of the leading sponsors of premiership rugby club, the Northampton Saints.

In early 2021, Cinch approached Belmont Press to install a number of giant decals and printed banners at the Northampton Saints ground, to showcase their partnership with the club and help convert the stadium to the rebranded 'Cinch Stadium'.

The banners were required along the roof line of one of the stands and dotted internally, at key points around the stadium. All the materials needed to be durable and, in some areas, all weather proof.

The elements to be installed within the stadium, were not always a straightforward fit. The positioning of the external banners meant they would be exposed to all elements and the height meant they would be particularly exposed to high winds. Cinch also required their logo to be laser cut out of aluminum and placed at the entrance of the players tunnel.

Our large format print team utilised a combination of our flatbed printers and brand new laser cutting technology to achieve the high quality results required. Our Installations team also utilised scaffolding, a cherry picker and a scissor lift to ensure safe access to the highest parts of the stadium.

A durable all-weather material was chosen for the banner, and our installations team fabricated custom brackets before stringing the steel cables from which they mounted the banner. For the remaining roofline graphics, an outdoor long-life self-adhesive was used to mount onto the hoardings.

The result has seen the Cinch branding displayed in prime positions throughout Franklins Gardens (now named The Cinch Stadium). The giant printed banners are also strategically placed to be picked up by the Sky Sports production team from all angles.

The rigid media installations are imposing, displayed throughout the external parts of the ground underneath the Saints black, green and gold colours. The laser cut Cinch logo at the opening of the players tunnel is the centerpiece, with the lettering being mounted onto the company's brand purple.
